Igniting the “Spark” within – Sharing thoughts and ideas on success


Many times we get bogged down with all the particulars of our own business. It seems overwhelming sometimes all the things we have to do to keep our home business running like a well oiled machine. Those day to day activities are essential, but a lot of people can’t see the forest through the trees –meaning keeping your eye on the goal by looking past all the day to day distractions.

Maybe you are one of those people that have been struggling to get started or even a veteran that seems to be in a slump. If you are struggling in your MLM business it could be that you are missing something in the 3 keys that it takes to be successful.

This is a  simple system of business as long as you stick to the basics and don’t complicate it. Let’s cover the 3 keys –

Key # 1 – Belief

Believe in your self first, know that what you are doing is the right thing and people will gravitate to you. Belief in the company and products is simple and can be developed with a few simple steps. Learn the company story and get to know the management team; their background, vision and focus. Replace every single product in your home with products offered by your company.

  • Belief in the system of network marketing is done through education.
  • Ask your upline for five books that you can read to educate yourself on how networkmarketing works.
  • Learn your compensation plan and study the success stories of others in your company and in the industry.
  • You must know that if any other person can be successful, then you can, too.
  • Believe in yourself!

One of other favorite monthly subscriptions is to Networking Times Magazine. Each month we get a magazine mailed to our home where we can read and learn more about the industry, how other leaders are doing as well as use these magazines in our sponsoring efforts.

Key #2 – Marketing

Marketing is the second key to success. Your business will go nowhere if no one knows it exists. Decide on the number of contacts you will make each day and then be committed to seeing the job through. There are many ways you can accomplish this.

  • Your Warm Marketing list;
  • Networking Groups or Chamber of commerce and
  • You can purchase pre-screened leads
  • Using online and social media like facebook, linkedin, twitter and others. The key is to build your network and build trust in those that you connect with.

Do you have a system in place to keep up with all your contact. You could use something as simple as this  Leads Contact Sheet  (excel spreadsheet)

Even using a notebooks to write down all your contacts works. The key is to do what works for you and be consistent.

Key #3 – Training and Duplication

As you find people who want to join you in business (and you will if you are consistently marketing it) you’ll want to train and duplicate the process. It really comes down to the first two keys above. Train your new distributors on developing belief in the company, products, system of networking marketing and themselves.

Explain the different ways of marketing and show each one what you do specifically so there is a “roadmap” in place. Be there to coach and support and then teach them how to train and duplicate as they bring people onto the team.
